Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I book a hotel with you?
We are making a concerted effort to make Conference more accessible for members of RTBI and Ladies Circle, as such we wanted people to be able to book accommodation according to their own preference and budget. There will be lists of local hotels on our website (including the two on the racecourse site) and we are offering a camping facility on the site for a bargain price!
How do I get there?
Look at our website- www.chesterconference.co.uk. The nearest train station to the racecourse is Chester where trains run every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening between Liverpool city centre stations and Chester. Mainline trains also come into this station. Chester Railway Station is a short taxi ride, Good motorway links and two airports within an hour (Liverpool and Manchester).
Can non-members attend?
Yes, you just need to book their tickets.
Can I bring the Wife/Husband/Children/Dog?
Yes! No Dogs are allowed into the venues (apart from assistance dogs) but if you want to bring your caravan/tent then dogs are allowed on the racecourse on the lead.
What’s the dress code?
This will be announced closer to the event
Where is the venue?
Most of the event will be happening at Chester Racecourse. It’s only a 5-8 minute walk from the centre of Chester, lots of shopping, restaurants, bars and the Friday night venue.
Can I Park there?
Plenty of parking! If you’ve booked a camping pass, one car park pass is included, otherwise it’s £5 for the weekend (cash on the gate). Parking is difficult in Chester – We’d recommend leaving your car at the racecourse all weekend
How do I book tickets?
Go to the website – www.chesterconference.co.uk
What packages are available?
Whole weekend pass – Includes Friday night party, AGM, Saturday Lunch, Saturday night Gala dinner
Saturday only – AGM, Saturday Lunch, Saturday night Gala Dinner
Camping Pass - £40 per tent/Caravan/Motorhome for the weekend including parking for one vehicle
Earlybird Specials – Weekend pass - £99 *SOLD OUT*
Weekend Pass - £139
Saturday only - £79
Camping - £40
Parking for the weekend - £5 (cash on the gate)
If I’m camping, what facilities are there?
Toilet/shower facilities onsite. No electrical hookup. The campsite is less than 50 metres from the AGM venue.
Are you providing transport?
No, due to the geography of Chester, most hotels are within walking distance (or a short taxi ride) and often driving is not the fastest way to get somewhere!

7.2 Users of the website may do so for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within the website.
7.3 Users of the website agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions generally and Paragraph 7 particularly, which shall take effect immediately upon their first access to the website. If such agreement is not present, users should cease and desist from accessing and/or using the website.
7.4 The website content, including the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to Chester 2018, its products and services (or to third party products and services), is provided on an “AS IS” basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether express or implied by law) to the extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

9.7 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear all disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
